Steve Cotterill celebrated his "best night in the FA Cup" after seeing Burnley knock Liverpool out.
"It's fantastic. We couldn't have dreamt that in our wildest dreams," the Clarets boss said of the 1-0 victory.
"We flew out quickly and that set the tempo. If you start poorly against a team like that they will pick you off.
"We were better in the first half and Liverpool were better in the second but in the end we got what we perhaps deserved and we're delighted."
The visitors fielded an inexperienced side but Cotterill insisted his team's task had not been made easier by that.
"I know a lot of their players - I've seen them in reserve games and know they are good players, so it was a good team," he said.
"It was a fortunate goal but we had chances before that and should have taken them in the first half."
Highly-rated winger Richard Chaplow was once again impressive - but that did not surprise his manager.
"It was a great night for Richard to show anyone looking on that he can play in the Premiership," Cotterill added.
"He will play there - whether that is sooner or later is for others to decide.
"He did the teamwork as well as the individual stuff."
