Goalkeeper Matt Glennon produced two outstanding saves to keep Carlisle in the FA Cup as they drew with Scunthorpe at Glanford Park. Glennon reacted brilliantly to divert Andy Dawson's 30-yard free-kick wide and with time running out, also tipped Scott Brough's fine left-foot shot over the crossbar. Tom Evans was rarely troubled in the Scunthorpe goal, although he had to make an alert stop at Richie Foran's feet in the first half. Brough almost won the tie for the hosts with the final whistle approaching but his shot deflected off a defender and crashed against the woodwork.
Scunthorpe: Evans, Stanton, Byrne, McCombe, Dawson, Sparrow, Kilford, Brough, Featherstone, Torpey, Carruthers. Subs: Calvo-Garcia, Graves, Lee Ridley, Parton, Collins. Carlisle: Glennon, Shelley, Taylor, Murphy, Maddison, McCarthy, Summerbell, Birch, McGill, Robinson, Foran. Subs: Wake, Jack, Kelly, Baldacchino, Nixon. Referee: P Walton (Northamptonshire)
