Bristol Rovers scored two goals in extra-time as they edged past Runcorn in their FA Cup first-round replay.

Rovers took the lead after 16 minutes through top scorer Giuliano Grazioli.

The former Swindon striker stole in to glance home Vitalijs Astafjevs' teasing cross for his ninth goal of the season.

But the lead lasted only two minutes.

Adam Barrett put the ball into his own net after a long ball caused havoc in the Rovers defence.

Ray Graydon's side almost went ahead again in the 35th minute but Wayne Carlisle's thunderous 30 yard free-kick hit the post.

And it looked like it would not be their night when they hit the post again after 55 minutes, Paul Tait the unlucky man this time.

But Rovers did have some luck with seven minutes left as Runcorn's Liam Watson tricked his way through their defence only to see his shot hit the post.

Runcorn's Lee Parle was sent off in the 102nd minute after committing his second bookable offence.

And six minutes later, Wayne Carlisle pounced after a scramble to bundle home the second goal and substitute Dave Gilroy then sealed victory with a late third.
