(After extra time) Division Three Cambridge needed an own goal from Mark Hotte in extra time to scramble past Conference club Scarborough. Paul Wanless headed Cambridge in front on the half-hour mark but Scarborough forced an extra 30 minutes with a goal from Scott Jordan in stoppage time. The visitors had matched Cambridge but eight minutes into extra time Hotte, racing back to stop a break by Omer Riza, stabbed the ball past his own goalkeeper. It was a cruel blow for Boro, who carved out more clear chances than the League side. Neil Campbell just before the break and David Holdsworth late in extra time forced excellent saves from Shaun Marshall. Cambridge have scored in 22 consecutive Division Three games - a club record - but this time their prolific strikers could only assist for the opening goal, Riza and Dave Kitson setting up Wanless for a close-range header in the 31st minute. Cambridge Utd: Marshall, Goodhind, Tann, Duncan, Angus, Tudor, Wanless, Fleming, Riza, Kitson, Youngs. Subs: Brennan, Chillingworth, Nacca, Bridges, Guttridge. Scarborough: Woods, Hotte, Holdsworth, Sheppherd, Ormerod, Stoker, Jordan, Pounder, Campbell, Scott, Raw. Subs: Blunt, Rose, Dryden, Walker, Fatokun. Referee: C Boyeson (E Yorkshire).
