Oldham 2-2 Burton Albion

Oldham escaped an embarrassing FA Cup exit thanks to a last-gasp equaliser from Fitz Hall against 10-man Conference side Burton Albion.

With time running out, the giant defender was pushed up front and the gamble paid off when he headed home only his second goal of the season to earn a replay.

Until then it looked like Burton had done enough to settle this tie - even though they were reduced to 10 men for most of the contest following midfielder Colin Hoyle's dismissal.

Oldham had earlier gone in front through Josh Low but Burton turned the game on its head as Aaron Webster's penalty levelled and Craig Dudley put them ahead.

Oldham: Pogliacomi, Hall, Hill, Beharall, Low, Darren Sheridan, Eyre, Armstrong, Eyres, Corazzin, Andrews. Subs: Miskelly, Duxbury, Murray, Killen, Vernon.

Burton Albion: Duke, Henshaw, Reddington, Hoyle, Talbot, Dudley, Clough, Kirkwood, Glasser, Webster, Moore. Subs: Anderson, Blount, Robinson, Kavanagh, Glover.

Referee: M Jones (Cheshire)
