Helgi Danielsson scored his first goal for Peterborough saw his side into the third round of the FA Cup after victory over Bournemouth at London Road.

The 20-year-old Icelandic midfielder scored his side's only real chance of the match when he latched onto Jimmy Bullard's corner eight minutes before the interval.

But the visitors wasted several good chances, with striker Warren Feeney the main culprit.

The Northern Ireland Under-21 international raced clear of the home defence after six minutes, but could not beat goalkeeper Mark Tyler.

After the break he was again the danger man for the Cherries, but could only find the sidenetting when well placed.

Bournemouth captain Eddie Howe missed the target with a late chance to complete their misery.
