FA Cup

Leyton Orient eased past 10-man Bromley to book a place in the second round.

Matthew Spring opened the scoring early on, when he fired an unstoppable 25-yard drive past Tommy Forecast after a one-two with David Mooney.

Orient doubled the lead after the break when Leon McSweeney freed George Porter down the right and the winger sprinted 60 yards before chipping over Forecast.

Aaron Rhule was then sent off after a clash with Porter before Jimmy Smith pounced on a rebound to fire in.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade told BBC London 94.9:

"I thought Bromley played really well.

"These teams really lift themselves, they came with belief and they were terrific.

"But we've been hit by Dean Cox's injury. It looks like he could be out for four to six weeks."

Bromley boss Mark Goldberg told BBC Radio Kent:

"The 3-0 scoreline is not truly reflective of the overall game but certainly in the first half we had opportunities, we controlled part of the game.

"The way we conceded the second goal was the tale of the tie. We went all out at a corner all gung-ho, and it was naivity, they broke forward and it was schoolboy football.

"When the sending off happened, and rightly so, the game was over."
