Latest score and action from the FA Cup final
All the action from the Millennium Stadium as Michael Owen strikes twice to win the FA Cup for Liverpool.

Danny Murphy and Vladimir Smicer get the nod ahead of Patrik Berger and Gary McAllister in midfield.

Sylvain Wiltord partners compatriot Thierry Henry upfront for Arsenal, with Dennis Bergkamp on the bench.

Ashley Cole takes the left-back berth but there is no place even on the bench for Silvinho.

1 min: Arsenal get the 2001 FA Cup final underway.

7 mins: Emile Heskey uses his pace and power to get away from Tony Adams but his appeals for a penalty as he goes down in the Arsenal box under Gilles Grimandi's challenge are waved away.

11 mins: A fantastic piece of skill from Patrick Vieira sets Pires away on the Arsenal left but after he switches the play to Lee Dixon on the right the move breaks down.

17 mins: Thierry Henry wastes the perfect opportunity to put Arsenal ahead.

Vieira robs Heskey in midfield and Ljungberg puts Henry clean through. He rounds Sander Westerveld but as he fires his shot goalwards the ball deflects off the arm of Stephane Henchoz and wide.

Arsenal are even denied a corner as both the assistant referee and the referee miss Henchoz's misdemeanour.

18 mins: Liverpool's Michael Owen is brought down by Patrick Vieira and the Arsenal man is spoken to by referee Dunn.

20 mins: It's Liverpool's turn to go close. Emile Heskey flicks on a throw-in and Arsenal are delighted to see Tony Adams block Michael Owen's crisp shot.

The ball rebounds out to Steven Gerrard who fires just over.

43 mins: Henry is caught just offside as Arsenal continue to enjoy the better of the game, with Liverpool content to get numbers behind the ball.

45 mins: H/T: Arsenal 0-0 Liverpool: The first half ends goalless as the final so far fails to live up to its pre-match billing.

46 mins: Liverpool get the second half underway with neither side having made any changes at the break.

48 mins: Danny Murphy curls a free-kick in from the Liverpool right and Emile Heskey evades his marker to send a header goalwards.

But David Seaman reacts well to palm the effort away with his left hand.

51 mins: Henry helps a looping ball on to Wiltord but Markus Babbel deflects his volley behind for a corner which Liverpool survive.

53 mins: Westerveld palms away a Pires free-kick but there is little danger in this Arsenal attack.

The English striker turns and fires into the bottom corner of Seaman's net. Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool

85 mins: Kanu replaces Ljungberg as Arsenal look to reinforce their attack again.

88 mins: Owen is on target again. He outpaces Lee Dixon and then from a narrow angle brilliantly fires across the face of Seaman's goal into the bottom corner. Arsenal 1-2 Liverpool

90 mins: Dennis Bergkamp replaces Lee Dixon as Arsene Wenger tries one last throw of the dice.

91 mins: Three minutes of added time are signalled as Westerveld comfortably saves Keown's header.

93 mins: Robbie Fowler is denied by David Seaman as Liverpool miss the chance to make the game safe.

Full-time: Fowler's miss was not crucial as the final whistle goes and despite having been second best for much of the game, Liverpool win the FA Cup thanks to the brilliance of Michael Owen.
