Leigh RMI 0-3 Millwall
Marc Bircham scores Millwall's second goal
Millwall will host Wycombe Wanderers in the second round of the FA Cup after goals from Neil Harris, Marc Bircham and Paul Moody helped overwhelm Conference side Leigh RMI in a 3-0 victory.

The Lions took the lead after just 48 seconds as a poor challenge from Leigh defender Neil Durkin brought down leading scorer Harris and the striker hit his 13th goal of the season from the penalty spot.

But Leigh refused to lie down and for a while frustrated the Division Two side with useful efforts from Tony Black and Ged Kielty causing Millwall some concern.

However, Millwall increased their lead after 67 minutes, Bircham volleying the ball past goalkeeper David Felgate after Leigh defender Andy Farrell had struggled to clear a Steven Reid corner under pressure from Joe Dolan.

Millwall's David Livermore should have added a third goal three minutes later, taking control of a fine through-ball from Bircham. Livermore cut inside but Durkin blocked.

Seconds later, Dolan could also have scored when he rose to head a Reid corner but his effort flew across the face of goal.

But Millwall wrapped up their win after 75 minutes when great interplay between Paul Ifill and Moody led to the former Fulham man nonchantly lobbing Felgate.
