Hesp heading home
Ruud Hesp
Hesp was released on a free transfer by Barcelona
Dutch League Club Fortuna Sittard have signed goalkeeper Ruud Hesp on a free transfer from Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.

Hesp was recruited by his Dutch compatriot and then Barcelona coach Louis van Gaal three years ago.

He was still under contract until next March, but once van Gaal was dismissed at the end of last season, Hesp's first team prospects were severely limited.

Barcelona have also released Portuguese international keeper Vitor Baia on a free transfer.

They have signed Frenchman Richard Dutruel from Celta Vigo as their first-choice goalkeeper for the coming season.
