Unirea Urziceni coach Dan Petrescu insists Wednesday's return meeting with Rangers is a bigger match for him than it is for the visitors.

Petrescu's side triumphed 4-1 at Ibrox last month and currently sit second in Champions League Group G.

"It's important for them but for me it's more important than for Rangers. They are used to these games," he said.

"For me it's the first time in the Champions League and I'm hoping that I'll have a big game tomorrow and win."

Despite having only one point from three games, Rangers could propel themselves back into contention for qualification for the next round with a win.

"I don't think a draw is good enough for Rangers," added former Chelsea defender Petrescu.

"Maybe a draw is good for us because, if we draw, we have a 90% chance to go into the Europa League (by finishing third in the group) and it's also a good achievement for us.

"Maybe in the start they will not attack too much but in the end, they have to risk because they have to win, if they want to qualify."

We need supporters tomorrow because I know the Glasgow Rangers fans will be maybe 2,000 and they know how to help a team

Dan Petrescu

Petrescu played down his side's performance following their victory in Glasgow and has been frustrated by the domestic results Unirea have had immediately after Champions League games.

"I said that I didn't think we played that well (at Ibrox)," said Petrescu.

"We scored from three set-ups but in the open play we could've done better.

"The problem was in the league because every time we play in the Champions League, next game we don't win in the league and I was not very happy with the performances and still not happy with them.

"If they win tomorrow maybe I'll be happy."

Wednesday's match will take place at Steaua Bucharest's ground, which offers a larger capacity than Unirea's home ground.

"Our team doesn't have too many supporters," added Petrescu.

"At home games we have 3,000 or 4,000 people. Maybe there'll be 2,000 from our city coming here and hopefully, like against Stuttgart, another 15,000 people from Bucharest. Who knows?

"Somebody told me that maybe the stadium will be full and they'll support us.

"But for sure we need supporters tomorrow because I know the Glasgow Rangers fans will be maybe 2,000 and they know how to help a team."

Petrescu made a bet with his players after the win at Ibrox - one which he wants to lose.

He said: "I bet that they will not make any points any more because the Romanian teams always win a game and afterwards they lose all the games.

"I said to them I think exactly the same because this is the mentality of this country and you don't want more from your life.

"And now I'll see tomorrow after the game if they win but that is not about money, there's no money.

"It's the first bet I want to lose in my life. It's good for them, I hope they win."
