Former Tottenham and Real Madrid manager Juande Ramos has left Russian side CSKA Moscow by mutual consent.

Ramos, 54, left his role after their 3-1 home defeat by Russian Premier League rivals FK Moscow on Sunday.

CSKA are in Champions League group B alongside Manchester United, who beat them 1-0 on Wednesday in Moscow, and lie fifth in the Russian league.

The club have appointed former Krylya Sovietov and FK Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky in Ramos' place.

The Spaniard was appointed CSKA coach in September having been out of work since leaving Real Madrid at the end of the 2008/09 season.

Ramos was dismissed by Spurs in October 2008 after taking only two points from their first eight matches during the season.

He then took the reins at the Bernabeu for a six-month spell after the departure of Bernd Schuster, guiding the side to second place in La Liga behind Barcelona.

Ramos replaced Brazilian Zico, who had been at CSKA for eight months, and leaves a league record of three wins, two losses and a draw.
