Blackburn's Matt Derbyshire scored twice for Olympiakos in the Greek Cup final as they won 15-14 on penalties against AEK Athens to take the Double.

On loan from Rovers, Derbyshire's second in stoppage time made it 3-3, with the game at 4-4 after extra-time.

Olympiakos had to enter the penalty shoot-out with just nine players after Luciano Galletti and Avraam Papadopoulos were sent off.

The winning penalty was scored by Olympiakos keeper Antonis Nikopolidis.

Derbyshire joined Olympiakos on loan in January and has helped the Athens club win the Greek League for the 12th time in 13 years.

And after the game Derbyshire insisted he was keen to secure a permanent move to Olympiakos.

"I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to come to Olympiakos and I hope that Blackburn and Olympiacos can come to an agreement," said Derbyshire.
