Zico has already been linked with a move to the Premier League
Fenerbahce coach Zico has left the club after failing to agree a new deal.
The Brazilian led the Istanbul side to the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in their history where they lost to Chelsea.
But Fenerbahce lost out to city rivals Galatasaray in the domestic title race.
Zico, 55, has been linked with the vacant manager's job at Chelsea and prior to Mark Hughes' appointment with the Manchester City managerial role.
Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim said: "We've parted ways with Zico. We know who the new coach is. We'll sign an agreement in Istanbul next week."
In recent weeks the Turkish media have reported disagreements over a new contract for Zico, while the former Brazilian international had already signalled that he planned to leave.
Zico came to Fenerbahce in July 2006 after coaching the Japanese national team for four years.
