Carlos agrees to Fenerbahce move
Roberto Carlos
Carlos joined Real from Inter Milan in 1996
Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos will join Turkish champions Fenerbahce at the end of the Spanish season.

The former Brazil left-back has spent 11 years at the Bernabeu but is looking forward to a new challenge and working under compatriot Zico in Turkey.

"He's one of the reasons why I chose Fenerbahce. He is an idol of Brazilian football and it's a great honour to work with him," said Carlos.

The terms of the 34-year-old's contract have not been disclosed.

"Turkish football is improving every day and Fenerbahce is one of the leaders," he added.

"I chose Fenerbahce to contribute to a club that has set itself high goals and wants to make a leap."

The Brazilian has won three La Liga titles in his time in Spain and could go out with a fourth as Real lead the table with two games remaining.
