England midfielder Owen Hargreaves made his comeback from a broken leg in Bayern Munich's 3-0 defeat to Bavarian rivals Nuremberg on Friday.
Hargreaves played the full 90 minutes on his first-team return
Hargreaves, 25, had been out since September, but played the full 90 minutes in Bayern's surprise loss.
Hargreaves will join up with the England squad for the friendly against Spain at Old Trafford on Monday.
The game also marked the return of Ottmar Hiztfeld as Bayern coach after he replaced Felix Magath on Wednesday.
Goals from Ivan Saenko, Markus Schroth and Robert Vittek condemned Bayern to defeat and leaves them eight point behind leaders Werder Bremen.
