Clockwatch: D Zagreb 0-3 Arsenal
Goalflashes and major incidents (all times BST):

Tight and tetchy for the first hour but Dinamo Zagreb fell apart after the first goal from Arsenal who then showed what a good outfit they are.
Steve Claridge, BBC Five Live Sport

FULL-TIME: Arsenal's youngsters have come up trumps and have all-but booked the club's place in the Champions League group stages barring a miracle from Dinamo Zagreb.

2154: Mathieu Flamini is clean through on goal but Dinamo keeper Ivan Turina makes a point-blank save.

2150: Dinamo's attempts of grabbing a goal to give them hope in the second leg look slim against a stubborn Arsenal defence.

2143: GOAL - Dinamo Zagreb 0-3 Arsenal
Cesc Fabregas shows his dancing feet as he jinks through the Dinamo defence and fires home a shot across goal before a samba style celebration.

2138: Luka Modric is easily Dinamo's most dangerous player and it's easy to see why he's been signed on a deal running until 2015. He keeps going and forces Manuel Almunia into a smart save but it all looks so easy for Arsenal after their double salvo.

2135: Arsenal defender Johan Djourou's pace robs Eduardo of the ball as the Dinamo striker prepares to pull the trigger on a shot.

2129: GOAL - Dinamo Zagreb 0-2 Arsenal
Two goal in as many minutes. With Dinamo still smarting from conceding the first, Robin van Persie races through and slides a shot in to add Arsenal's second.

2128: GOAL - Dinamo Zagreb 0-1 Arsenal
It needed something special to break down Dinamo and Arsenal produce it to take the lead. Alexander Hleb finds Robin van Persie, who chests the ball down before looping a ball into the path of a Cesc Fabregas run. The Spaniard angles a first-time shot into the far corner for a vital away goal.

2123: Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia is unconvincing as he fails to punch away a corner with any assurance before the ball is cleared to safety.

2120: The flares are going off in the north stand of the Maksimir Stadium and the vociferous Dinamo support are doing their best to spur the home side on.

2115: Dinamo striker Eduardo races on to a long through-ball and half-volleys an effort just wide as the home side grow in threat.

2110: The teams are back out and kick-off after some repairs take place to Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia's goal.

It's been such a tactical affair. The way Dinamo have played has amazed me. They have soaked up a lot of pressure from Arsenal and looked dangerous when they have got into advanced divisions.
Steve Claridge, BBC Five Live Sport

HALF-TIME: Arsenal have shown their normal free-flowing passing game but will have to find an incisive edge in attack to break down a stubborn Dinamo.

2045: It's that man Luka Modric again. He takes down a high ball before lashing a 25-yard strike skidding just wide of the Gunners goal.

2041: Dinamo may be the home team but are almost playing on the counter-attack as they allow Arsenal on to them and try to sting them with a quickfire goal.

2034: The long-range shots keep coming as Emmanuel Adebayor hammers a 25-yard strike just wide for Arsenal.

2030: Luka Modric plays a neat one-two and is through on the Gunners goal. It's a tight angle and he slices his shot wide under pressure from the Arsenal defence. Modric is believed to have been tied to a 10-year deal by Dinamo and is their key player.

2023: Robin van Persie is not shy about having a punt from long range. His tactic it almost pays off when a 25-yard effort is deflected and forces Dinamo keeper Ivan Turina into a scrambling save.

2022: It may be a revamped Arsenal but they're playing the same stylish passing game as they knock it around with confidence.

2013: Arsenal striker Robin van Persie's 20-yard free-kick is always rising and goes comfortably high before Dinamo give their visitors an early scare.

Etto pulls back a pass from the touchline for Luka Modric and he shoots narrowly wide.

2010: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is already cutting a tense and twitchy figure - he's placed his faith in his youngsters and is hoping they can repay him with a good result.

2005: Arsenal's third qualifying round tie first leg gets underway at the Maksimir Stadium and the Gunners face a tricky test against the Croatian champions.

1955: Dinamo coach Josip Kuze said "don't let it be Arsenal" when the third round qualifying draw was made. It was but will his fears be realised or can his side cause an upset?

Team news:

Is Arsenal winger Jose Antonio Reyes moving to Real Madrid? The winger starts on the bench for the Gunners to fuel speculation that he may be sold to Real Madrid.

Reyes would be cup-tied for the competition if he appears which would substantially reduce his value.

Tomas Rosicky makes his first competitive start for an inexperienced Arsenal side following his summer move from Borussia Dortmund.
