Barcelona president Joan Laporta and the board of directors of the Primera Liga club have resigned ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The resignations had been expected after Barca were ordered to hold polls for the board after complaints that regulations had been broken.
Three members took legal action complaining the directors should only have been in place until 30 June 2006.
Reports suggest that the date for the election will be 10 September.
Laporta plans to stand for re-election after a Catalan tribunal rejected demands for him to be made ineligible.
