Uruguay striker Diego Forlan has extended his contract with Spanish club Villarreal until 2010.
The 27-year-old, whose original deal was due to expire in 2009, joined the club from Manchester United in 2004.
He was the top scorer in the Primera Liga in his first season, scoring 25 goals and helping the club qualify for the Champions League.
Forlan said: "I feel very comfortable here and have never seen myself leaving the club."
