Ajax have appointed Henk ten Cate as their new coach.
Ten Cate will replace Danny Blind, who was sacked earlier this month, a little over a year after he took over from Ronald Koeman.
Ten Cate was assistant to Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona and leaves on a high note after helping them to victory in the Champions League.
An Ajax statement said Ten Cate had signed a two-year contract, taking him until July 2008.
