Jonathan Woodgate will undergo tests on his thigh injury on Wednesday after limping out of Real Madrid's Champions League defeat to Arsenal.
Woodgate has been plagued by injuries since his move to Madrid
The centre-back, plagued by thigh problems since leaving Newcastle in 2004, suffered a hamstring injury nine minutes into Tuesday's 1-0 loss.
A Real statement said: "At the end of the match the medical services confirmed Woodgate has a strain.
"On Wednesday it will be examined, and a decision taken on his ailment."
