AC Milan have signed Italy international striker Christian Vieri, only days after he left Inter Milan.
Vieri cost Inter £32m when he signed from Lazio in 1999
The 31-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Rossoneri - having had his contract at Inter cancelled by mutual consent last week.
Vieri had been linked with a move to England, with Newcastle manager Graeme Souness admitting he made an enquiry.
The news comes as a blow to Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo, who is hoping to make his loan move to Milan permanent.
