Former Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri expects to choose which club he will join by the end of next week.
Inter cancelled the 31-year-old's contract after an indifferent season under coach Roberto Mancini.
"Christian will make a decision in the next six to seven days," Vieri's agent Sergio Berti told BBC Sport.
Vieri's first choice is reportedly Spain, but Berti refused to rule out a move to England saying, "English is Christian's first language."
The son of a French mother and Italian father, Vieri grew up in Sydney, Australia before returning to Italy.
Vieri has been linked with Spurs, Bolton and Newcastle, but Magpies boss Graeme Souness was told the striker seemed to be interested in a playing in Spain again.
Vieri played under former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri when they were at Atletico Madrid together.
"Souness said: "We did inquire about Christian Vieri. I got a mutual friend to have a word with the player, but it appears he wants to go to Spain."
Berti also revealed there has been plenty of interest from other clubs throughout Europe, notably in Greece, Russia and Turkey.
