Fans on the BBC's 606 message boards are relishing the mouth-watering Champions League semi-final between Liverpool and Chelsea.

Reds fans are hoping history will be on their side, while supporters of the Blues are expectant having already experienced three wins over the Pool this season.

Here's who's winning the verbal stakes so far...

Liverpool and Chelsea fans could shout at how they will beat each other until they turn red or blue in the face, but more importantly our respective teams have put Premiership football well and truly back on the world map. Between us we have beaten the best sides from Germany, Italy and Spain.

It's great that England will have one team in the final - now let's make it us

Rafa the magician - how does he do it? Let's sort out the league position and next season we will be very dangerous.

How we've missed Xabi Alonso's crisp passing and ball possession in the middle. He will be one of Liverpool's main players under Rafa's reign. Can't wait till Steven Gerrard comes back to rekindle their combo. Jamie Carragher again proved what a defender he is. Credit too must go to Sami Hyypia ... all round, very good performance. I'm over the moon!

A nice solid performance from the lads - great to see Cisse having a run out. Bring on Chelsea!

King Rafa - the master tactician.... what a game!.... what a night! Every man a hero! Who was it said a few weeks ago Liverpool v PSV in the final, and us to win of course? It's all coming true.

Igor Biscan started the season holding the esteemed title of 'Worst ever Premiership player', Pavel Nedved started it as European footballer of the year!

Rafa has worked miracles with Igor!

Nice to see so many recognise Hyypia's great performance last night. He gets far too much stick in my opinion. He's been a great player for us and I think he still has a few good years left.

Hopefully Michael Owen will reconsdier his future with Real Madrid. Rafa's Liverpool have shown that they are better than Real Madrid having beaten Bayer Leverkuesen and now Juventus.

How good was that last night! Fantastic performance by the lads, and brilliant tactics from the gaffer!

Special praise needs to be reserved for Xabi Alonso, to play like that after just 45 mins in the reserves, AMAZING! He's gonna be a massive player for this club.

We owe Chelsea in the semi-finals and I reckon our midfield can nullify Frank Lampard and we'll take it from there!
Xabi's right foot

Well done to your lads, not sure if we can keep beating you this season but at least one England side will make the final.

Congratulations from a Chelsea fan, I have not long got back from Bayern and wondered where my next voyage would take me, Liverpool it is then.

Come what may, an English team will make the final. And if that is Liverpool, I will cheer them on.

Congratulations, an excellent display and you deserved the victory over the two legs. Just one thing, DON'T BEAT US IN THE SEMI-FINAL!

Chelsea fan here, I think I was more nervous last night than I was for our game - great to see you pull it off.

There has been little between our clubs in the three games so far and I hope that Chelsea progress to the final but I for one am delighted that, come what may, an English team will make the final. And if that is Liverpool, I will cheer them on.

May the best team win.

Firstly, congratulations on last night. Now to my point. It is really strange two English clubs going to a semi-final and it will split the nation, probably more will be backing you than us, but that's okay, we have learnt to live with it this season!
Veni vidi vici (we came we saw we conquered)

Just like to say well done and how great its going to be to see an English team in the CL final.

For a club that has been decimated by injuries this year, you've hung tough and you're still there - I expect nothing but a hard fought battle from you in the semis, but I want us to beat you as any normal supporter would, but I see a scrap of immense proportions on our hands.

Well Done Scousers - you really deserved it! Looking forward to the semi-final, it will be a classic.

By the way, how about swapping Baros for Kezman?

Nice one Liverpool, it will be good to see an English team in final! And it will be one hell of a semi-final!

I said you'd lose, so I was wrong there. See you at Stamford Bridge!

Hullo, just a Cambridge fan popping to say well done, I ran out of nails after about 55 mins but who cares....hurrah.
Half Price

As a Manc fan I hope I don't have to make a habit of this, but that was a stunning result - well done, it would have been a travesty if Juve had got a late goal.

Congrats from a Man Utd fan! I had the strange sensation yesteray of actually SUPPORTING Liverpool.

Man U Fan here - you won't here this often from me, but Liverpool were fantastic and did the country pround. I just hope you gone on to beat Chelsea - go on you Scousers!

Congratulations all. I was glued to the game and wanted to say I am thrilled that you got through. To keep such a team at bay with the injuries you have is a fantastic achievement. Good luck to both you and Chelsea in the semis, it's a great thing for the Premiership.

Arsenal fan here - congratulations on progressing to the next round.

The majority of fans in this country saw the result as a victory for English football - looking forward to a competitive but friendly semi-final!

Nice job in Turin guys! Good to see Alonso/Cisse back. As my beloved Gooners can't do it this year I hope you go on and win it.
Scally Wag

Well done to the red half of the city last night. I didn't think that you could pull it off but as we have found out this season it's amazing how far hard work, commitment and passion can still take you in this modern money-orientated game.
Carsley for England

Go on the Pool! Celtic fan here, just wanted to say congratulations to ya all! Bring on Chelsea and good luck.

Congrats from a Man Utd fan! I had the strange sensation yesteray of actually SUPPORTING Liverpool. I didn't think you'd do it even at the 85th minute but full marks! It's great from the Premiership's point of view.
