Marks out of 10 for Liverpool's Champions League second leg at Juventus.
Liverpool
Jerzy Dudek - 6: Did not have a shot to save until 64 minutes. Called into action late on and coped with ease.
Steve Finnan - 7: Handed a tough assignment against Juve's dangerous left side but more than held his own.
Djimi Traore - 7: His concentration was at times lacking, but he played his part in a heroic defensive display.
Jamie Carragher - 8: Caught out once when Dudek came to his rescue, but overall he did not put a foot wrong. Seems to grow with every major performance.
Sami Hyypia - 9: (STAR MAN) Just like the Hyypia of old. Dominant in the air, assured on the ground and almost got his name on the scoresheet.
Antonio Nunez - 5: Handed the right-wing role but guilty of diving in too often. A bit off the pace and replaced earlier in the second half.
John-Arne Riise - 7: Not seen much as an attacking force, he performed a valuable role in supporting his defence.
Igor Biscan - 8: Stepped up his game in Steven Gerrard's absence. Offered great protection in front of his defence.
Xabi Alonso - 7: Thrown in at the deep end in Steven Gerrard's absence. Needlessly booked for kicking the ball away but he made up for the skipper's absence with a disciplined display.
Luis Garcia - 6: Plenty of effort but too often he was wasteful with the ball and attempted the spectacular when he needed to play it safe.
Milan Baros - 7: Often isolated up front but he was full of running and caused the Juve backline some nervy moments. Wasted a glaring chance that would have sealed the tie earlier.
Substitutes
Vladimir Smicer (Replaced Nunez, 58 minutes) - 6: Replaced the ineffective Nunes and gave Liverpool a bit more of an outlet.
Djibril Cisse (Replaced Baros, 76 minutes) - 6: Completed his remarkable comeback from a broken leg for a late run out. Given little chance to shine.
Antony Le Tallec (Replaced Garcia, 85 minutes) - 6: Possibly unlucky not to start, he was thrown on in the dying stages.
