Champions League round-up
Roma and Bayer Leverkusen play in an empty stadium
Roma and Bayer Leverkusen play in an empty stadium
Roma are out of the Champions League after a 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen.

Roma had been ordered to play the match behind closed doors after referee Anders Frisk was hit by a coin in their previous Champions League home match.

The Italians found inspiration hard to come by in an empty stadium and when Dimitar Berbatov scored with eight minutes left another defeat loomed.

But Vincenzo Montella scored a last-minute leveller to keeps his side's Uefa Cup qualification hopes alive.

Brazilian midfielder Nilmar conjured up some late magic to help Lyon qualify to the next stage after a dramatic 4-2 win over Fenerbahce.

Sahin Selcuk put Fenerbahce ahead with a deflected shot, but goals from Mickael Essien and Florent Malouda then put Lyon in control.

But Sanli Tuncay toe-poked a header from defender Fabio Luciano high into the net to draw the Turks level.

Just after that Servet Cetin was sent off for a second yellow card before Nilmar headed in Juninho's free-kick to put Lyon in front and then headed another goal to seal the win.

A last-minute strike from captain Alessandro Del Piero handed Italian leaders Juventus a 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich.

The result puts the Turin side through to the knockout stage of the competition after four wins.

But it was harsh on Bayern who had missed a glut of chances with Roy Makaay and Claudio Pizarro both wasteful in front of goal.

But after some flash footwork from the impressive Zlatan Ibrahimovic bamboozled the Bayern backline and Del Piero struck the winner.

It was a night of firsts for Maccabi Tel Aviv, who had never scored before in the Champions League but managed it twice to claim their first ever victory and shock Ajax 2-1.

The hosts took the lead when Baruch Dago took advantage of Ishmael Addo's flick-on.

And Dago was on target again eight minutes later when he nicked the ball from Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and smashed home.

Ajax scored a late consolation through Daniel De Ridder in the 88th minute.

Real Madrid fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Dynamo Kiev, leaving Group B wide open.

Nigerian Atanda Yussuf and Latvia striker Maris Verpakovskis gave the Ukrainian champions a 2-0 lead halfway through a frantic first half.

But 15 minutes later Raul put Real back into the game with his 48th Champions League goal - one behind former Real striker Alfredo Di Stefano's all-time European scoring record - after a great pass from by Luis Figo.

Figo then levelled the score at 2-2 with a 44th-minute penalty after Ronaldo was tripped.

A goal six minutes from time from Argentine central defender Gabriel Schurrer gave Olympiakos a 1-0 win over Monaco in Group A.

The win puts Olympiakos level with Liverpool on seven points, one more than Monaco, last year's beaten finalists, with two rounds remaining.

Olympiakos produced the lion's share of the chances, Rivaldo coming close twice and Giovanni hitting the post.

Just as it looked as though they would have to settle for the draw, 33-year-old Schurrer latched on to a free-kick to fire home from close range.
