2142: A dramatic night of Champions League football has come to an end with Manchester United and Liverpool grabbing the headlines.

Ruud van Nistelrooy's four-goal haul, scored in the middle of his domestic suspension, leaves United five points clear of third-placed Fenerbahce in their group.

Liverpool are joint top of their group after Jorge Andrade's own goal gives them three points in Spain.

The Dutchman, who is serving a domestic suspension, replaces Alan Smith while Wes Brown, Roy Keane and Liam Miller also start in place of Mikael Silvestre, Phil Neville and Ryan Giggs.

Karel Poborsky returns to Old Trafford in the visitors' line-up.

Liverpool bring in Igor Biscan for Xabi Alonso, who has failed to recover from a calf injury, as Rafael Benitez returns to Spain for the game with Deportivo La Coruna.

Harry Kewell takes over from Djibril Cisse, who broke his leg at Blackburn on Saturday, while Luis Garcia comes in for Steve Finnan.
