Germany left-back Christian Ziege is to join Borussia Moenchengladbach.
Recently released by Spurs, the 32-year-old Ziege has signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga club.
Ziege, who also played for Liverpool and Middlesbrough, has recovered from a string of injuries including career-threatening thigh problem.
The defender told the Borussia website: "I want to play football. After a long injury break, that is the most important thing for me."
He added: "I've had offers from Bundesliga and foreign sides as well as clubs who would have been able to pay more money than Borussia.
"But I don't want to gamble. It's not good to pick a side only because they pay more money than everyone else. Other things are on the top of the priority list."
The defender was handed a last-minute call-up to Germany's Euro 2004 squad after Hamburg defender Christian Rahn was ruled out by injury.
He has won 72 caps for Germany
and was a member of their 1996 European championship-winning
Moenchengladbach, five-times German champions, narrowly
escaped relegation this season.
