Lokomotiv take Russian title
Lokomotiv Moscow captain Dmitry Loskov
Loskov's goal was enough for Lokomotiv
Lokomotiv Moscow captain Dmitry Loskov led his side to their first ever Russian title as they beat city rivals CSKA 1-0 on Thursday.

Loskov scored the winner in a play-off after the two teams finished level on 66 points at the end of the regular season.

Lokomotiv made the perfect start on just five minutes when Loskov beat CSKA keeper Ruslan Nigmatullin with a precise shot from the edge of the box.

CSKA poured forward in search of an equaliser but could not find a way through.

Late in the game CSKA threw caution to the wind and managed to create several clear-cut chances.

But Lokomotiv held on in front of a capacity 35,000 crowd at Moscow's Dynamo stadium.
