Dallas to referee Super Cup

Hugh Dallas refereed at this summer's World Cup

Scottish World Cup referee Hugh Dallas has been given the task of handling this Friday's European Super Cup between Real Madrid and Feyenoord.

The annual match between the winners of the Champions League and the Uefa Cup will be Dallas' last major final as he stands down as a Fifa referee at the end of this year.

Dallas will be assisted by three of his countrymen at Friday's showpiece in Monaco.

Wilson Irvine and David Doig will be Dallas' assistants, while Stuart Dougal is fourth official.

Dallas has refereed at the top level for a number of years, most recently taking charge of two matches at this summer's World Cup and acting as fourth official in the final.

Scotland's top referee will continue to officiate in domestic games after he steps down as a Fifa referee when he turns 45.
