Euro 2004 Group 6
Euro 2004 qualifying Group 1
BBC Sport Online looks at the countries drawn in qualifying Group 6 for Euro 2004.

Spain
Coach: Inaki Saez
Famed for under-achieving, Spain will be hoping to finally shine in Portugal.

Surprisingly beaten to the hosting vote by their near-neighbours, Spain will want to make sure they do not miss out on qualifying.

But then, qualifying has never been their problem.

Camacho undoubtedly has one of Europe's most talented squads at his disposal but failed to get the required results at the World Cup and has since resigned.

Newly appointed coach Inaki Saez will be looking to the likes of Raul and Luis Enrique to help bring home Spain's first major honour since they won the European Nations Cup in 1968.

Ukraine
Coach: Leonid Buryak
After three consecutive play-off heartbreaks, Ukraine are looking for a change of luck this time round.

The defeat by Germany in last year's World Cup play-off completed that unwanted hat-trick after Ukraine had previously been beaten by Croatia in 1997 and Slovenia in 1999.

But two draws against France in the 2002 World Cup qualifiers prove the Ukraine are a force to be reckoned with.

And in Andriy Shevchenko and Sergei Rebrov Ukraine have a strike force to be feared.

Greece
Coach: Otto Rehhagel
Greece showed inconsistency during their recent unsuccessful World Cup qualifying campaign, losing 5-1 to Finland, but holding group winners England to a draw at Old Trafford.

The country boosts a fanatical football following that deserves to be rewarded with a top team.

Much will depend on the influence of seasoned pros such as Newcastle's Nikos Dabizas.

Northern Ireland
Coach: Sammy McIlroy
Northern Ireland launch this bid to qualify for a major final with Sammy McIlroy - a player capped 88 times for his country - at the helm.

He will need to rely on midfield stalwarts Neil Lennon, Philip Mulryne and Keith Gillespie if they are to advance as fourth seeds.

They have not reached a major finals since the World Cup of 1986.

Armenia
Coach: Oscar Lopez
Armenia finished their World Cup 2002 qualifying campaign without a win, their best result coming in a 0-0 draw against Norway in their opening game.

The optimism gained from that performance was not to last though and they ended with a 4-1 drubbing by the same team.

They can be a difficult side to break down, as Wales discovered when they managed just two draws.

But Armenia finished bottom of the group and replaced Vaurzhan Sukiasyan with Oscar Lopez.
