Sacchi considers return
![]() Sacchi is a coaching legend in Italy
Former Italy and AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi said on Monday that he would consider a return to the game if he received the right offer.
Sacchi retired in February, quitting his position at Parma after just 23 days in the job, when stress began to lead to a deterioration in his health. But Sacchi, who coached Italy to the runners' up spot in the 1994 World Cup finals, is considering a return to management. Asked on the radio show "Radio anch'io" on Monday if he would consider a return to the game as a coach or a director, Sacchi indicated he would. "If there was a situation that was particularly clear to me and that appealed to me, then why not? I love football," he said. Sacchi made his name at AC Milan, where between 1987 to 1991 he won the Italian title, the Italian Super Cup, two European Cups, two European Super Cups and two World Club Cups. He took over as Italy coach in 1991 and led them to the 1994 World Cup final in which they lost to Brazil on penalties.
