Roger makes Poland's Euros squad

Legia Warsaw's Brazilian-born star Roger Guerreiro, who received a Polish passport in April, has made Poland's final 23-man squad for Euro 2008.

Grzegorz Bronowicki, Radoslaw Majewski and Radoslaw Matusiak were those left out when the squad was reduced from 26.

Red Star Belgrade defender Bronowicki failed to regain full fitness after having knee surgery in late April.

Jakub Blaszczykowski, Michal Zewlakow and Wojciech Lobodzinski are all included despite carrying injuries.

Poland coach Leo Beenhakker felt SC Heerenveen striker Matusiak, who hit three goals in qualifying, was in poor form, while Majewski, 21, is not considered ready for a major tournament.

Celtic keeper Artur Boruc is in the squad following a fine SPL campaign.

He will contest the goalkeeping position with two Premier League reserve keepers - Manchester United's Tomasz Kuszczak and Arsenal's Lukasz Fabianski.

The other British-based player is Southampton striker Marek Saganowski, but there is no place for fellow Saints forward Grzegorz Rasiak.

Poland host Denmark in their final warm-up match on 1 June.
