Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky will miss this summer's European Championships due to a knee injury.
The Czech Republic captain has not played since January and will now have an operation to fix the problem.
"I'm not capable of starting the European Championship. My injury requires an operation - I will go for it at the start of next week," he said.
The Czechs face co-hosts Switzerland, Portugal and Turkey in the tournament's group stages which begin on 7 June.
