Striker Dado Prso cemented his place in Croatia's Euro 2004 squad with goals in each leg of the play-off against Slovenia last November.
Club: AS Monaco
Debut: 29/03/03 v Belgium
The AS Monaco forward is a latecomer to international football, winning his first cap in 2003 at the age of 28.
Not a natural finisher, Prso has worked to his strengths to become the ideal foil for Monaco strike partner Shabani Nonda in the French league.
His height and deft touch will make him a valuable asset in a tough group.
Prso left his native country during the 1990s due to the political upheavals and signed for the prinicipality club in 1997.
After a couple of seasons on loan at Ajaccio, he finally made his mark in 2002/03 with 12 goals in 20 games as Monaco won the French League Cup and finished second in the league.
Did you know? Prso scored four goals in Monaco's 8-3 win over Deportivo La Coruna in the Champions League in 2003.
