90 mins + 2: Gallas fells Katsouranis as Greece earn a free-kick on the left, just outside the area, but it comes to nothing. Greece just try to keep the ball.
90 mins + 1: Zidane feeds Lizarazu, whose initial shot is blocked and his left-footed follow-up blazes over the bar.
90 mins: Goalscorer Charisteas goes down injured, much to the disgust of the French players and coaching staff. The game moves into stoppage time, with three extra minutes to be played.
89 mins: Rothen chases a long clearance forward but fails to keep the ball in, and time is running out for the French.

78 mins: With France battling to stay in the competition, Henry bursts down the left but Greece defend well in numbers. Santini prepares to make his third and last substitution.
76 mins: A rare Greek foray upfield sees Lakis denied by Thuram. The action breaks to the other end where Henry tries his luck again, but his shot skims towards Nikopolidis who gathers cleanly.
75 mins: The lively Saha jinks past Zagorakis, Kapsis and Dellas and forces Nikopolidis into a low save.
74 mins: Pires gets in his first dangerous cross, but it goes beyond the French forwards and Greece win a free-kick on their left.
73 mins: Zagorakis brings Pires down again, and may have to watch his step as Greece defend their lead. Gallas crosses for Saha but Kapsis defends well.

60 mins: Henry turns and fires in a shot over the bar. While the ball is retrieved, Greece bring on Lakis for Nikolaidis.
59 mins: As Greece prepare to make a substitution, Zagorakis takes a long throw which is easily cleared.
58 mins: Gallas bursts into the box but is denied by a last-ditch Zagorakis clearance as France pile on the pressure.
57 mins: Lizarazu accelerates into the area, beating three players, but it comes to nothing. Less than a minute later, Henry breaks down the left and his cross nearly finds Trezeguet.
56 mins: Henry finally gets some space on the left, but his pass to Zidane sees the French captain lose possession.

52 mins: France are clearly fired up after the interval, and begin to draw a few fouls from Greece. But Barthez has to come out to meet a hanging cross by Zagorakis, and can only punch clear to relieve the danger.
50 mins: Greek captain Zagorakis joins the others in the book after he adjudged to have fouled Pires.
49 mins: Seitaridis is penalised for a foul on Henry, to whom he has stuck close all night. From the resulting free-kick, Henry's volley is deflected wide but a goal kick rather than a corner is awarded.
46 mins: Play restarts, with neither side making any substitutions. Pires is back operating on the left for France.
HALF-TIME: The players leave the field with the Greek fans amond the 45,390 crowd justly proud of the 0-0 scoreline after a half their side has dominated.
