Pre-match build-up:

England will endure fierce heat as they continue their Euro 2004 campaign against Switzerland in Coimbra.

Temperatures pitchside soared past the 100 degrees F mark as they prepared to try and bounce back from the opening defeat against France in Lisbon.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was among the spectators, casting an eye over Highbury duo Sol Campbell and Ashley Cole.

Coimbra was awash with red as England and Switzerland supporters mixed outside the ground, with no apparent incidents.
