MOTD announces Euro 2004 line-up

Gary Lineker

Gary Lineker will host Match of the Day's live coverage from Euro 2004, which kicks off in Portugal on 12 June.

Gary will be joined in the studio by Alan Hansen, Peter Schmeichel, Ian Wright, Peter Reid, Steve Bruce and Jamie Redknapp.

John Motson, Barry Davies and Steve Wilson will lead the commentary team, with co-commentary from Mark Lawrenson, Mick McCarthy, Joe Royle and Mark Bright.

Ray Stubbs will present Match of the Day highlights programmes, plus Football Focus each Saturday during the tournament.

Ray will also host an interactive forum on BBCi and bbc.co.uk after games that kick off at 1700 BST, while Mark Bright hosts an interactive 606 forum live on BBCi, bbc.co.uk and Radio Five Live.

And, bringing viewers all the news from the championships will be the BBC's team of roving reporters - Garth Crooks, Damian Johnson, Hazel Irvine, Dominic Cotton and Ivan Gaskell.

  • The BBC Sport team has also announced the choice of music for Match of the Day's Euro 2004 television coverage.

    A special edit of Basement Jaxx's 'Good Luck' will accompany the programme's opening credits.
