85: Chelsea win a corner thanks to Flo taken by Jody Morris but Hasselbaink's pass to Leboeuf is turned into the side netting.

83: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, on for Andy Cole, runs to the edge of the 18-yard box and lays it on perfectly for Giggs but his left-footed shot saunters over the bar.

80: David Beckham's free-kick falls to Ryan Giggs but his attempt goes over the bar.

78: Man Utd win a throw by the corner flag after Mikael Silvestre powers down the left before firing a cross directly to Andy Cole.

76: Nicky Butt replaces Sheringham as Alex Ferguson looks to plug the gaps in the Man Utd midfield.

64: Andy Cole strides forward and beats Desailly, his shot beats the keeper, but splendid defensive work from Graeme le Saux sees him track back and clear the ball off the line for a corner.

60: Beckham is able to continue and returns to the pitch - meanwhile, a crucial tackle by Marcel Desailly takes the ball away from Sheringham while in space deep in the Chelsea area with two red shirts to his left.

58: The match continues to produce end-to-end action and this time it is Hasselbaink with the chance but his shot soars high above the bar.

57: Fine work by Andy Cole wins his side a corner but they are unable to take advantage - Beckham's injury begins bleeding again and he has to leave the pitch for treatment for a second time.

38: Man Utd 3-1 Chelsea. Sheringham knocks on a splendid ball for Andy Cole as Chelsea are caught in possession. His shot thunders off the post into the path of David Beckham who makes no mistake.

36: Man Utd 2-1 Chelsea. Teddy Sheringham is on hand to score as Andy Cole misses the through ball after Paul Scholes has left Irwin's pass.

33: Good build-up play from Chelsea results in a fine ball being played out to Hasselbaink wide on the right but he is harshly judged to be offside.

31: Mikael Silvestre tracks back to deny Carlo Panucci the cross and gives away a corner. Hasselbaink eventually scuffs his shot.

27: A Chelsea corner is taken by Zola and headed into the path of Roberto Di Matteo by the Man Utd defence but he fails to hit the target.

26: Beckham returns to the pitch after being treated but Paul Scholes consequently leaves for treatment to what appears to be an ankle injury.

23: Roy Keane is denied by Cudicini after he wastes just a little too much time in shooting despite being in plenty of space on the right of the box.

22: Beckham is rushed off the pitch suffering from a heavily-bleeding cut to the head after a collision with Graeme le Saux.

21: An uncharacteristic error from Beckham sees him give the ball away in the middle of the park but Jon Harley's snatched shot flies over the bar.

19: Roy Keane also finds himself in the book after a rash tackle on Tore Andre Flo.

18: Gianfranco Zola, on a promising run, tumbles to the ground under the challenge of Gary Neville, who is booked.

2: Frank Leboeuf tackles Beckham in dangerous territory and is penalised but Beckham cannot find the target with his resulting free-kick.

1 minute: Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink latches on to a cross but his shot fails to test Raimond van der Gouw.

1130 BST: Chelsea kick-off at Old Trafford as the two teams meet in the Premiership for the first time this season.
