Steven Pienaar (second right) was outstanding alongside Marouane Felliani in midfield For Everton

Roberto Mancini tasted defeat for the first time as Manchester City manager as they were comprehensively outplayed by an outstanding Everton at Goodison Park.
Everton were expected to provide the toughest test of the Italian's reign - and so it proved as City were dominated in all areas, finishing well beaten.
And it was a humiliating afternoon for City's Brazilian Robinho, who emerged as an early substitute for Roque Santa Cruz but was then hauled off himself on the hour after barely breaking sweat in a hapless performance.
Everton boss David Moyes set the charges for a thunderous afternoon by using his programme notes to accuse City of acting with "no class" in their summer pursuit of his former defender Joleon Lescott. And his team backed those strong words with action.
Steven Pienaar's angled free-kick gave Everton a lead they merited after 36 minutes, and Louis Saha added the second in first-half injury when Micah Richards was punished for pulling the striker's shirt, although the initial offence came outside the area.
Everton's performance was driven by a magnificent performance from Marouane Fellaini, whose recent form has prompted Moyes to described him as currently the country's finest midfield operator.
Everton performance delights Moyes
He only missed out on a goal when he saw his late header turned on to the bar by Shay Given, with Tim Cahill also heading against the woodwork shortly afterwards.
Mancini cut a frustrated figure as City failed to capitalise on Spurs and Liverpool dropping points in the race for a top four place - but Everton were not to be denied and departed to a rousing standing ovation from their supporters.
City suffered a blow after only three minutes when Santa Cruz pulled up sharply and was replaced by Robinho - who wasted the best early chance by volleying over the top from 10 yards.
Everton, with Landon Donovan making his home debut after joining on loan from LA Galaxy, started slowly but improved to such an extent that they ended the first half in emphatic control.
Donovan demonstrated the first signs of the threat to come when he broke into the area on the end of Saha's flick, but his first touch was heavy and his lofted attempt at a finish drifted off target.
Diniyar Bilyaletdinov then forced a fingertip save from Given from 12 yards as Everton - inspired by the giant figure of Fellaini - put City under the sort of pressure they have rarely faced in recent times.
The Russian flashed an angle shot just wide before two incidents on the stroke of half-time saw momentum shift firmly in Everton's favour.
Everton keeper Tim Howard turned Craig Bellamy's goal-bound shot to safety before Moyes' side doubled their lead courtesy of a highly contentious penalty award.
Richards tugged at Saha's shirt outside the box, but was only penalised when the offence continued inside the area. City's vehement protests were waved away and Saha converted the spot-kick coolly.
Mancini made another change after the interval, replacing the injured Martin Petrov with Benjani, as City attempted to find a foothold back into the game.
Mancini magnanimous in defeat
When the breakthrough failed to materialise, Mancini took the bold decision to substitute Robinho, who was only the pitch as a substitute himself. It was a brave move, but totally correct given the Brazilian's performance, which was a model of disinterest from start to finish.
Fellaini almost crowned a wonderful individual performance with a towering header form Donovan's corner that Given turned on to the bar with 11 minutes left. It would have been no more than the Belgian deserved for his efforts.
Cahill was then denied in similar fashion when he met Leighton Baines' cross with a powerful header as Given stayed rooted to the spot.
City could not raise a response in the closing stages and Everton thoroughly deserved the victory.
Everton boss David Moyes on Louis Saha's penalty: "I don't think you can have a great deal of argument. If you pull someone's shirt and it is as blatant as that then there's no argument.
"From the start to the end we were tremendous. I think we have been playing that way recently, just haven't got the goals."
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini on replacing substitute Robinho: "During the game, I had to change the situation because I can't play with five strikers.
"For me, it was no penalty, 2-0 at half time it changes the situation.
"Everton played better than us. I think we can play better, tonight we were so-so, but we have a problem with injuries."
