Record-breaking Robinho to feature
Manchester City's signing of Real Madrid forward Robinho on transfer deadline day stunned the football world.
The 24-year-old had made no secret of his desire to leave the Bernabeu, but his favoured destination all along appeared to be Stamford Bridge and a reunion with his former Brazil coach Scolari.
Nine days later and Robinho was on his way to Manchester City. Not that he remembered while he was on duty with Brazil a few days later taking questions from journalists.
"On the last day, Chelsea made a great proposal and I accepted," he said. "You mean Manchester, right?" said a reporter. "Yeah, Manchester, sorry!" answered a blushing Robinho.
A goal and a win against the London side and it's a safe bet City fans will forgive the twinkle-toed Brazilian for his verbal gaffe.
