Premier League newcomer at Blackburn
It has been a summer of transition at Blackburn, with the Ewood Park outfit losing boss Mark Hughes to Manchester City and replacing him with Paul Ince.
Former MK Dons manager Ince has lost star player David Bentley and Brad Friedel, but brought in England keeper Paul Robinson.
The signing of 22-year-old playmaker Carlos Villanueva from Audax Italiano is certainly a gamble, but one that could pay off spectacularly should the talented Chilean settle quickly in England.
With a wand of a left foot and the ability to play behind a striker or wide on the left, Villanueva has the quality to make Rovers fans forget all about Bentley.
He also becomes the first footballer nicknamed 'pineapple head' to ply his trade in the Premier League since much-maligned ex-Nottingham Forest hitman Jason Lee.
South Americans find it notoriously difficult to settle in England, however, so it could be an interesting few months for CV.
