Ferguson is looking forward to the title run-in
Sir Alex Ferguson said Manchester United have an "outstanding chance" of catching Premiership leaders Chelsea following their 2-0 win over Arsenal.

United kept themselves within seven points of the Blues after victory against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

"It was a good attacking performance," said the United boss.

"The form Arsenal were in, we had to examine them. We decided to go and attack and it worked. If we keep winning we have an outstanding chance."

Ferguson added: "The manner of the win over Arsenal is important - managers are judged on results but also United believe in entertainment, value and a good match.

"Two fantastic clubs went head to head today and produced some great football at times.

"They all performed. United have always been built on young players - going back to the Busby Babes - and we try to maintain that."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said missed chances and fatigue cost his side.

"We had chances that we didn't take - and that can be costly," he said.

"We looked a bit jaded in the final half-hour and that is why I think Manchester United maybe deserved to win the game.

"At 1-0 down we missed two great chances - one for Robin Van Persie and one for Emmanuel Adebayor. Their second goal on the break killed the game."
