Moyes vents fury
Everton boss David Moyes
Moyes was not happy with referee Jeff Winter
Everton manager David Moyes hit out at referee Jeff Winter for not taking stronger action against Chartlon's Scott Parker.

The midfielder's challenge on Alan Stubbs left the Everton defender with a suspected broken ankle.

But Winter did not even brandish a yellow card for the tackle - a decision which incensed Moyes.

"Wayne Rooney was sent off for a challenge nothing like as bad as that a few weeks ago," said Moyes.

Scott plays hard and he's been sorted out a few times himself this season

Charlton boss Alan Curbishley

"We don't know the extent of Alan's injury or whether it is a break but it is his ankle and it is very sore. He will be having a scan."

He added: "You would have to be blind not to see we should have won the game.

"We deserved it but I don't know why we occasionally lose games we should win.

"Be careful how you describe Charlton's first goal.

"I've seen the video and it was definitely offside and the player (Lisbie) was definitely interfering with play."

Charlton boss Alan Curbishley defended Parker and shrugged off Moyes' fury.

He said: "Scott did well and I don't know if David (Moyes) has seen something I haven't.

"But Parker is a competitive player and was just getting out there to make a block for us when Stubbs tried to score from (Thomas) Gravesen's free-kick.

"Scott plays hard and he's been sorted out a few times himself this season.

"He had seven stitches at Chelsea and was full of bruises at Liverpool.

"As for our first goal I can't see that David, with all respect, can call it offside from his position 50 yards away."
