Wenger targets unbeaten season
Arsenal players celebrate during their European win over Borussia Dormund earlier this week
Wenger expects plenty more Arsenal celebrations
Arsene Wenger insists his side can go through the season unbeaten in every competition.

The Arsenal boss believes last season's Premiership champions can successfully defend their league and FA Cup titles as well as triumph in the Champions League.

The Gunners have not lost in the top flight for 27 games and, as they prepare to face Bolton at Highbury on Saturday, the French manager believes that run will go on.

"I know that it is possible if we keep our attitude," said Wenger.

"It will be difficult for us to go through the season unbeaten but we can do it. I just have great belief in this squad."

I would love to become so good we are disliked
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger

AC Milan achieved the feat during the 1992 season and Wenger thinks his squad have the necessary calibre to emulate those achievements.

He explained: "It was done by Milan and I can't see why we cannot do it this season.

"Other teams think exactly the same but they don't say it because they're scared of looking ridiculous.

"It's everybody's dream but, if it doesn't happen, it's not the end of the world."

Arsenal face Bolton this weekend, one point clear at the top of the Premiership with four wins and two draws.

And Wenger agreed an extension to that winning streak would make his side the team to beat.

And he said he was happy about any potentially negative baggage that might bring.

"It's natural to be disliked when you are at the top," he added.

"And I would love to become so good we are disliked."
