    Team news

Robbie Keane is back for Leeds as Mark Viduka is dropped and Rio Ferdinand captains Leeds on his return to West Ham.

Arsenal are without Ray Parlour, Dennis Bergkamp and Kanu for the visit of Everton.

The away side are also missing key personnel - David Unsworth, Steve Watson and Duncan Ferguson.

Coventry are unchanged as they travel to Ipswich, with Jay Bothroyd retaining his starting place alongside John Hartson.

Richard Wright has been injured in the warm-up with Keith Branagan set to replace the keeper.

At Leicester Simon Royce is in goal with Tim Flowers on the bench but Muzzy Izzet and Matt Elliot are both missing and Damien Delaney makes a debut.

Aston Villa have the Gareths - Southgate and Barry - back in defence with Alpay suspended and Steve Staunton dropped. Darius Vassell starts after his goal as a sub in midweek.

Mark Draper starts for Saints, with another former Villa player, Stuart Gray, seeking his first goal as Southampton's caretaker manager.

    The scenario

With one result already in, Manchester City have given themselves hope of Premiership survival.

But a win for Middlesbrough at out-of-form Leicester will leave the Maine Road faithful in despair at their plight once more.

A Boro win will also relegate Bradford, unless the bottom club win their match with Derby, who could make themselves safe with a win.

Everton are in a similar position to the Rams, although their trip to Highbury is considerably more difficult than visiting Valley Parade.

But perhaps the most important game is at Ipswich.

Coventry are desperate for points at the bottom while the hosts aim to seal the third Champions League slot.

Chasing Ipswich are Leeds, away at West Ham, and Chelsea, who host Charlton.

Liverpool are in action on Sunday and Aston Villa will hope to close the gap to the top six as they make a late bid for a Uefa Cup place.

They play Southampton, one of the clubs to have recently dropped away from the European picture.
