1655: The whistle goes at Chelsea, with Ipswich, Leeds and Sunderland the happiest Europe-chasing teams after away wins for all three. 1654: Full-time everywhere except Stamford Bridge. It's been a dreadul afternoon for Coventry, a poor one for Man City and a great one for Boro.
1650: A second goal for United gives the scoreline a more realistic look at Old Trafford. Mikael Silvestre, like Yorke, is a goalscoring substitute.
1647: An all-too predictable injury time winner at Old Trafford from Dwight Yorke after Solksjaer's shot hit the Tobagan's chest and deflected past Simon Royce. 1646: A brilliant cross at Old Trafford from Denis Irwin and Paul Scholes skims a post with a header, but it seems it will not go in for the champions. 1644: Penalty at St James Park to Newcastle. Carl Cort was brought down by Paul Ince. Nolberto Solano blasts it at the crossbar and Middlesbrough's 2-1 lead survives.
1637: Terrible error from Carlo Cudicini hands Sunderland a two-goal cushion. The Chelsea keeper failed to control a back-pass, and was tackled by Gavin McCann whose challenge set up Kevin Phillips for a header he could not miss. 1634: The only goalless game is at Old Trafford, where the hosts are dominating but failing to make it count against Leicester.
1631: The visitors comeback at Valley Parade with Shaun Goater equalising in a game they surely need to win in their battle to stay up.
1619: Sunderland take the lead for the first time at Stamford Bridge, with Gavin McCann getting the visitors' third.
1618: A rush of goals, firstly a second for Bradford from former Man City striker Ashley Ward to increase the worries of the travelling fans at Valley Parade.
City fans can console themselves with news that Coventry look beaten as Steffen Iversen hands managerless Spurs a cushion.
And then Carl Cort marks his rare start with a goal with a goal as the hosts pull one back at St James Park.
1617: Saints fans worried about Glenn Hoddle and the Spurs job get something to cheer, as Jo Tessem beats Paul Gerrard in a one-on-one to put the hosts ahead at The Dell.
1616: Ipswich are denied an obvious penalty at Upton Park. Stuart Pearce's challenge on Marcus Stewart was a yard inside the box, but a free kick isa given. No matter. Martijn Reuser fires home the free kick.
1613: Manchester City's hopes of a win at Bradford take a knock as Robbie Blake places a superb finish past Nicky Weaver.
1612: A second equaliser for Sunderland and Don Hutchison who headed past Cudicini after Ken Phillips cross to the far post.
1606: An early goal in the second half too for Leeds. Harry Kewell broke from the Leeds box and ran the length of the pitch before finding Alan Smith, who drove the ball home. 1602 News of a half-time substitution. Joe Cole is off for West Ham. England coach Sven Goran Eriksson names his squad on Sunday and is at The Valley this afternoon. 1546: Boro lead 2-0 but they'll be a man down during the second half after Phil Stamp was sent off for a second bookable offence - a dreadul challenge on Rob Lee.
1538: Chelsea restore their lead after a superb individial goal from Eidur Gudjohnsen. He beat the offside trap and then bamboozled keeper Thomas Sorensen before firing in via the underside of the bar.
1535: It's also 2-0 at Newcastle thaks to Alen Boksic's second of the afternoon. The Croatian scores with a curling 25-yard free kick afetr Paul Ince was fouled.
1534: It's more bad news for Gordon Strachan, as Spurs take a two-goal lead via Les Ferdinand's head. Iversen's initial header was palmed out to the striker by Chris Kirkland.
1529: Sunderland equalise via Don Hutchison at Stamford Bridge.
1529: A bad minute for Coventry at the bottom of the table. With Man City already leading, the Sky Blues go behind to Steffen Iversen and then Alen Boksic puts Middlesbrough ahead at Newcastle. 1525: Clarence Acuna has an effort disallowed for Newcastle. He tapped home and was flagged offside after a deflected free kick.
1523: A big goal at the bottom of the table from Gerard Wiekens, who fires home from eight yards after Steve Howey had headed a corner across goal.
1519: An equaliser at The Valley - a long ball free kick from Richard Rufus is headed home by Shaun Bartlett, with Nigel Martyn's flapping challenge proving ineffective.
1514: Chelsea go ahead through Marcel Desailly's
header from point-blank range, which followed a cross from Hasselbaink and a cross/shot from Gudjohnsen. 1508: Chelsea have an effort disallowed - Eidur Gudjohnsen put the ball in the net, but was flagged offside after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbain's pass.
1501: Leeds score the first goal of the afternoon, with Mark Viduka curling the ball around Sasa Ilic in the Charlton goal after just 11 seconds of play. Team news: Carl Cort begins for Newcastle against Middlesbrough after a lengthy injury absence. Dean Windass is ruled out for Boro. A late change at Old Trafford where Manchester United keeper Fabien Barthez has been injured in the wam-up. American keeper Paul Rachubka replaces the Frenchman.
