Blackpool 1-2 Hartlepool
Blackpool slumped to their first home defeat of the season and their lowest league placing for over a decade as Hartlepool took all three points on offer at Bloomfield Road with a 2-1 win.

The Seasiders got back into the match through Andy Morrison's 72nd minute drive, but it was not enough to save the game as the home side struggled to recover from a shock two-goal deficit.

Tommy Miller fired the visitors into the lead on 25 minutes lobbing into an empty net from 30 yards after Phil Barnes had hared off his line only to head the ball straight at the highly-rated midfielder.

On 56 minutes James Sharp flicked on a corner to Kevin Henderson who found himself with the simple task of turning unmarked from close range to slot home.

Blackpool pressed relentlessly in the second half but Brett Ormerod saw his shot somehow spin away from goal, and recent Manchester City Morrison had a 25-yard effort superbly tipped away by Anthony Williams.

Blackpool: Barnes, Jaszczun, Bushell, Hughes, Morrison, Milligan, J. Murphy, Newell, Coid, Wellens, Ormerod.
Subs: Clarkson, Jones, Nowland, Rachel, N. Murphy.

Hartlepool: Williams, Arnison, Strodder, Westwood, Sharp, Shilton, Stephenson, Fitzpatrick, Miller, Lormor, Henderson.
Subs: Hollund, Sperrevik, Tennebo, Midgley, Knowles.

Referee: H Webb (Rotherham).
