Torquay 3-1 Morecambe

Ramon Rose's superb strike was the pick of the goals as Torquay overcame nine-man Morecambe.

Andy Parrish was shown a straight red for tripping Elliott Benyon in the box and the striker saw his penalty saved before poking home the rebound.

Chris McCready's volley drew the teams level but Rose thumped in a stunning effort from 20 yards to make it 2-1.

Benyon rounded it off after being teed up by Chris Zebroski, while Chris Shuker was sent off for a foul on Rose.

"What a wonderful strike from Ramone Rose, it got the crowd up, and we do need the supporters to get behind the team.

"If you've watched Torquay United over the past few weeks, we create chances, we have a right go and we deserved our win.

"We're back in a healthy position in the league and I'm proud of the players."
