John Miles scored twice to ensure that Peter Taylor's first game in charge of Bradford ended in defeat.

Miles broke the deadlock when he ran clear and coolly slotted the ball past Bantams keeper Matt Glennon.

Bradford's best chance fell to James Hanson but he hammered the ball over the bar from Simon Ramsden's free-kick.

Miles was denied by Glennon and also fired over but he made sure of victory late on when he met Michael Symes' ball and found the net from a tight angle.

Bradford City midfielder Lee Bullock told BBC Radio Leeds:

"If you had told me at the start of the season that I'd play against an England manager's team in Sven Goran Eriksson and be managed by another one I'd never dream of that.

"They [Accrington] are above us in the league for a reason and we'll go there wanting three points but we'll give them maximum respect.

"There will be a raise in everyone's game after the new manager but we're still under pressure because we know we need to win matches."
